What’s changing and when
- October 1, 2025: Enrollment closed for all Legacy courses.
- December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET: Access to all Legacy courses ends. Learners must finish courses and submit voucher requests by this time.
The 2025 Edition of each course represents the current version and remains open for enrollment.
What this means for learners
If you enrolled in a Legacy course before October 1, 2025
- You may continue working in your Legacy course until December 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET.
- After that date, all Legacy courses will close and become inaccessible.
- Course progress will not transfer to the 2025 Edition.
If you are not enrolled yet
Please start directly in the 2025 Edition course for your subject.
- The 2025 Edition includes updated content from the summer–fall 2025 refresh.
Vouchers and reimbursements
- Voucher requests for Legacy courses must be submitted by December 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET.
- Voucher requests for 2025 Edition courses continue as normal, based on completion criteria.
- Existing vouchers retain their original terms.
Frequently asked questions
Will I lose my Legacy course progress?
Yes, your Legacy course progress does not transfer to the 2025 Edition. After December 31, 2025, Legacy courses close and you will no longer be able to access them.
Can I start in 2025 Edition after beginning in Legacy?
Yes, you can begin the 2025 Edition anytime, but progress from your Legacy course will not transfer.
Why is this happening now?
Nearly all Modern States courses were refreshed in 2025. The updated 2025 Edition is now the standard, ensuring all learners benefit from the most accurate, complete, and aligned preparation.
