Thousands of colleges offer credit for CLEP exams, but not all do. Each college sets its own scoring and credit standards. Some colleges, for example, only allow students to skip introductory-level courses based on successful CLEP results.
To make sure your college accepts CLEP credit and applies it to your transcript, we strongly recommend that you check with your college first. Contact its registrar or admissions office to confirm its current CLEP credit policy, including which exams it accepts and what scores it requires.
You can also use our CLEP Acceptance tool to see which schools accept which CLEP exams for credit: https://cat.modernstates.org/
Please note that college policies change, and the information in the CLEP Acceptance tool may not always be up to date. Your college's own policy is the final word.
