Yes, and you can start today. Pick a free Modern States course, prepare at your own pace, and earn college credit by passing a CLEP exam.”
How Modern States helps
Modern States offers free online courses that prepare you to earn college credit. Here's how it works:
• Free courses. Every course is taught by college professors and prepares you for a specific CLEP exam.
• Learn at your own pace. Start anytime and study on your own schedule.
• We cover the exam fee. After completing a course and its practice questions, you may qualify for a Modern States CLEP Scholarship or voucher. You'll get a code to enter when you register for your exam with the College Board, and it covers the full cost.
What to do next
Browse the free courses and pick a subject you feel confident about — many learners start with a subject they already know well.

Important note
CLEP credit policies vary by institution. Before scheduling an exam, confirm with your college or university which CLEP exams they accept, the scores required, and how the credit applies to your degree.
