Whether you originally selected remote proctoring or a physical test center, you may be able to update your CLEP testing location through your College Board CLEP account. Follow the steps below to change your testing option.
Switching Between Test Center and Remote Proctoring
- Log in to your My CLEP Student Portal.
- Go to the Upcoming Exams tab.
- Select your exam and click View and Edit Registration.
- Under the Exam Details section, click Edit.
- Choose where you would like to take your exam:
- At a CLEP test center
- Via remote proctoring
- Follow the prompts to review and confirm your updated registration.
What happens when you change your testing option?
- College Board will cancel your original registration.
- A new registration ID will be issued.
- Your original payment or Modern States voucher code should apply to the new registration.
- Watch for a confirmation email from College Board/CLEP with next steps.
Important: Modern States cannot change your College Board registration or testing location for you. If you need help changing your CLEP registration, please contact College Board or your selected test center directly.
