What is CLEP?

Modified on Fri, Oct 9 at 11:09 AM

CLEP (College Level Examination Program) is a well-established, nationally recognized exam program from the College Board, accepted at nearly 3,000 colleges and universities. Instead of taking a full semester course, you study a subject, take one CLEP exam, and earn college credit if your score meets your college's requirements. The College Board offers more than 32 CLEP exams, covering subjects like College Composition, History of the United States, College Algebra, Introductory Psychology, Spanish, and many more.

Important note

Modern States does not administer CLEP exams. All exams are run by the College Board, and you register, schedule, and take your exam through them, either at a test center or if you're eligible, with remote proctoring.
